About Education - What is the Issue?

About Education is a fun and informative DVD series that answer the question: Why is there such a difference between public and private education? It presents an often overlooked point of view - that education should be open to everyone. Viewers will also learn the economic benefits of having access to high quality public schools at no cost. One of the reasons that education reform is so important is because the private and public systems are not serving their intended purposes.

about education

The educational system is so broken that many children cannot receive the educational development they need. This affects their social, emotional, and physical health as well as their ability to learn. Many of the children in this country have the same problems as children in third world countries.

Children in public schools are not held accountable for their actions and do not get the appropriate developmental training. They do not receive classes in math, science, or other subjects needed to help them excel in life.

Teachers do not make children learn, or the parents do not support the teachers and the children. Schools and teachers serve the purpose of allowing students to "learn how to read"learn to count." Neither of these is required for the students to succeed in life.

If students were put into a place where they could see themselves in a school where they would be successful in life, they would have to overcome their fears and develop a "positive" attitude that would promote exceptional results. In other words, the need for education becomes the only way to address this issue.

The main goal of the About Education program is to help people understand the importance of improving education in America. By understanding the problem of inadequate education, they can plan to change the system. It begins with educating the public about what schools do not offer.

Whenan adult in the audience feels as if the educational system they are using does not meet their educational needs, they can be empowered to look for alternative educational solutions. When adults start to think outside of the box and demand alternatives, others may listen and learn from them.

A lot of the About Education program offers fun activities and games that help with the process of developing an educational mindset. These programs help in understanding what are available options and make people recognize their situation when making a decision to change the system. The whole family can benefit from the resources provided by the programs as they become involved in the process.
